Cook Smart, Eat Smart School Session 4: Entertaining & Eating as a Family

The good: in four fun, hands-on classes, ‘Our Cook Smart, Eat Smart Cooking School’ teaches you and your family how to prepare simple, healthy and delicious food. The even better: ‘Cook Smart, Eat Smart’ keeps it simple— simple healthy preparation techniques, simple ingredients and simple equipment. Each session in this four-part series contains several basic cooking techniques and other topics related to eating and preparing meals at home. ‘Cook Smart, Eat Smart’ also provides tips for stretching your food dollar while still eating healthily.

‘Cook Smart, Eat Smart’ is taught by Vigi Zabala, a Registered Dietitian with a background in Public Health and Business Administration. Her professional focus areas include disease prevention, wellness promotion, food safety and food systems. This program is presented by the Winter Park Health Foundation. 

The August 22 class of the Cook Smart, Eat Smart Cooking School covers the following techniques: Appetizers, Quick Breads,Salads & Salad Dressing and Pasta

Menu: White Bean Spread with Garlic and Rosemary, Baked Ziti with Homemade Marinara Sauce, Side salad with Homemade Dressing
